I hope that everyone had a great weekend and is ready for this four day week!
What is happening this week:
Reading: The weekly concept is pet pal, and the essential question is: How do you take care of different kids of pets? Letters sounds for the week: /w/ and /g/. We will still be working with verbs in out writing. We will also be practicing what sounds we hear at the beginning, middle and end of words (cat, dog, ball, bat). When we read our books we will be looking at the main characters, setting, problem and solution.
Math: This week we will continue looking at numbers 11-20. We will learn to count on from any number to 20, as well as counting to find how many.
Writing: We will be using our knowledge of letter sounds to try and sound out words to spell them. We will also be writing using verbs to give action to our sentences.
