Welcome to a new week,
Here is what we are working on for the week:
Reading: The letter sounds /v/ and /x/, Stretching out our words to try and sound them out. Looking at making a prediction when reading a story (look at the cover and what do you think this will be about. Stopping and predicting about what will come next in the story.) Still working on the story elements (characters, setting, beginning , middle and end as well as the problem and solution. When looking at nonfiction, try to figure out the key details of the story.)
Math: This week we will finish counting and writing numbers up to 20 and start to compose and decompose numbers 11-19, by making the number and finding the parts.
Science: We are looking at the life cycle of a chick, as well as the habitats that animals live in.
Sight Words: (please work on the sight words each night)
